About KPV
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). The fragment retains anti-inflammatory activity associated with the parent peptide while being significantly smaller and more pharmacokinetically tractable.
Research interest centers on inflammation modulation, melanocortin-receptor signaling, and dermal/intestinal models of inflammation. KPV is one of the most-studied minimal-fragment derivatives of the α-MSH family.
